Average hourly pay : $28 / hr

Pay Range : $34,000 / yr - $100,000 / yr

Multi-Comm, Inc. is a Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in installation and maintenance for the cable television and telecommunications industry as well as the private sector. We provide a broad range of services including commercial and residential cable installation, fiber optic installation and maintenance, rewiring and retrofit, soft construction, structured cabling, and more.

With a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, our technicians install cable television, high-speed internet, and digital telephone services. Position Summary

Cable television and telecommunications technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading cable systems, as well as responding to service issues reported by users. Their primary goal is to ensure the efficient operation of cable systems, which includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment and performing preventive maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities / Tasks :

  • Timely completion of scheduled installations, disconnects, and other maintenance activities on cable, broadband, and telephony systems.
  • Work in varied environments including high places and confined spaces; must climb ladders and poles, and access attics or crawl spaces.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues as they arise.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, accurately completing work orders, forms, and reports as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain stock issued for job tasks efficiently.
  • Follow all Company and OSHA safety regulations diligently.
  • Adapt to varying workloads to meet the needs of the business.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and presentability while interacting with the public.
  • Utilize communication devices effectively to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate attention to quality in work and take pride in outcomes.
  • Perform daily data entry for tasks completed.

    • Candidate Requirements :

  • Clean personal vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) required, capable of accommodating a 28 ft ladder (ladder rack can be provided).
  • Valid driver’s license, registration, and auto insurance required (DMV records will be checked).
  • Exemplary time management skills are essential.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Physically capable of performing all job functions.
  • Must be organized and well-groomed for professional settings.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities are required.
  • Efficient communication with Supervisors / Management and staff via various channels.
  • Adaptability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, make decisions, and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Familiarity with using various hand tools.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Maintain a positive work attitude at all times.

    • Pay : $17.75 / hr + weekly incentive + mileage reimbursement. The average hourly rate after incentives could be up to $28 / hr.

    Upon completion of the initial PAID TRAINING CLASS, each graduate will receive all necessary tools to perform the job.
