About Merdinian School

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled elementary and / or middle school English Teacher to join our growing faculty and inspire young learners through dynamic and engaging instruction for the 2025 / 2026 academic year. This full-time, on-site position will focus on fostering strong reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills in students. The ideal candidate will create a structured yet engaging learning environment, instilling a love for literature, language, writing, and expression while upholding our school’s faith-based mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Development
- Develop and implement engaging English Language Arts (ELA) lesson plans aligned with grade-level standards.
- Teach a well-rounded curriculum, including reading comprehension, literature analysis, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and public speaking.
- Utilize various instructional strategies, such as Socratic discussions, creative writing exercises, and project-based learning, to enhance student engagement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication in students.
