DESCRIPTION : Full-Time Secondary English Language Arts Teacher
LOCATION : Meridian Early College High School
STARTING DATE : August 12, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS : Must have appropriate Secondary English Language Arts (BA) Certification. Applicants must meet highly qualified requirements of No Child Left Behind Endorsement.
RATE OF PAY : Per Master Agreement between the Meridian Public Schools Board of Education and the Meridian Education Association with full benefit package
SUPERVISOR : Meridian Early College High School Principal

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, foster communication skills, develop an understanding and appreciation of literature of all types, motivate students to read a wide variety of publications to derive information, comprehend and critically assess the reading materials, and to promote the development of skills in the field of English reading, grammar and syntax.
EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER
SUMMARY : Teachers are responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
