Viceroy Hotels & Resorts offers a fresh take on hospitality, centered on the richness of experiences and cultural connection. A leader in modern luxury, Viceroy is committed to creating unique, immersive experiences that allow guests to craft unforgettable narratives rooted in the authenticity of each destination. Viceroy's portfolio of hotels and resorts can be found in a diverse array of breathtaking and inspiring locations including Los Cabos, Santa Monica, Chicago, Riviera Maya, Kopaonik, Snowmass, Washington D.C., St. Lucia, and Portugal's Algarve, with a forthcoming resort in Sun Valley, Idaho slated to open in summer 2026.

Overview

Viceroy Hotels & Residences is returning to New York City with the opening of Viceroy Park Avenue in December 2026. Located in the heart of Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood, this highly anticipated luxury hotel represents an exciting new chapter for the globally recognized, design-forward hospitality brand. We are seeking motivated, hospitality-driven professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team, helping establish the property's culture, service standards, and operational excellence from day one.

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Entertainment Sales. This strategic sales leadership role is responsible for driving transient revenue production across the corporate, entertainment, media, production, fashion, sports, and group, business travel segments, transient non-corporate, and event requests. The Director will develop and execute targeted sales strategies focused on securing preferred partnerships, negotiated corporate accounts, entertainment industry business, and high-value transient opportunities that align with the hotel's revenue objectives and luxury positioning.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong network of corporate travel buyers, travel management companies, entertainment and production contacts, and key decision-makers across relevant industries. This individual must be highly skilled in relationship building, account management, negotiation, and strategic business development while delivering exceptional service and creating long-term client loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase corporate transient, entertainment, and business travel revenue.
  • Identify, solicit, negotiate, and secure preferred corporate agreements, entertainment contracts, and transient business opportunities that align with the hotel's business objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate travel managers, travel management companies (TMCs), executive assistants, procurement professionals, entertainment industry representatives, production companies, sports organizations, and key business travel decision-makers.
  • Develop and grow a portfolio of key accounts while pursuing new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the hotel's luxury accommodations, services, and amenities.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients through sales missions, networking events, industry conferences, client entertainment, trade shows, and business development activities.
  • Act as the primary sales contact for entertainment, production, media, fashion, sports, and corporate transient accounts.
  • Negotiate rate agreements and contracts that maximize profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
  • Grasp a complete understanding of the New York City business travel and entertainment markets, including key demand generators, competitive intelligence, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management to develop strategic pricing initiatives and optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance.
  • Conduct ongoing account performance reviews and production analysis to identify growth opportunities and ensure account productivity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Guest Experience, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
  • Champion the Company's service and relationship strategy, driving guest satisfaction, client retention, and long-term loyalty.
  • Prepare and present weekly sales reports, production forecasts, account updates, and business development activity summaries.
  • Maintain accurate account information, pipeline management, and sales activity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Communicate regularly with hotel leadership regarding market conditions, business trends, opportunities, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
  • Represent the hotel at local and national industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and association meetings.
  • Travel regularly within key feeder markets to cultivate relationships and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in corporate transient sales, business travel sales, entertainment sales, or related luxury hospitality sales environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of the New York City corporate, entertainment, media, sports, fashion, and production markets.
  • Established relationships with corporate travel buyers, travel management companies, entertainment executives, production companies, agency representatives, and key industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate significant transient revenue and consistently achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong experience negotiating preferred corporate agreements and managing high-value account relationships.
  • Exceptional sales, relationship-building, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, economic trends, and business travel demand drivers.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze production reports, revenue data, and market intelligence to identify business opportunities.
  • High-touch customer service philosophy and commitment to delivering exceptional guest and client experiences.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain, and grow strategic client relationships that result in long-term revenue production.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and demonstrate exceptional service, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in all interactions, both verbal and written.
  • Keen negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technologically savvy, possessing strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, hotel sales systems, and reporting tools.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a luxury hotel environment, including evenings, weekends, and industry-related events.
  • Previous experience within a luxury hotel, luxury lifestyle brand, or upper-upscale hospitality environment required.
  • Experience in the New York City market strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel.
