Description : POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Executive is an outside (field oriented) sales position responsible for developing commercial sales and services to increase revenue, through customer presentations and lead generation. Builds long-term relationships with commercial customers in order to grow the customer base and retain customers. This role is responsible for territory saturation and sales growth through excellence in customer service and utilization of company sales tools and systems. This role calls on customers independently, with the sales manager, in person and via phone calls. Additionally, this role reports on market competition and other territory sales influences.
The Account Executive should be highly ambitious, results oriented, and self-motivated. They should be perceptive, able to connect quickly with people in an authentic, convincing and enthusiastic way.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Identifies and actively pursues new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management in developing sales strategies and new account targeting.
- Actively manages and maintains relationships with strategic commercial customers and supports the ongoing relationships with these customers.
- Generates commercial replacement, retrofit, and service-contract sales through various customer prospecting techniques such as cold calling, customer referrals, personal networking, and in-person customer contact.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and service technicians to understand the needs of the customer and identify proper solution and support.
- Utilizes relevant systems and information, prepares the proposal for the commercial customer. Explains technical information to the customer in an easy-to-understand language.
- Review Service Activities and Work orders to gather information needed to provide accurate cost estimates for the recommended repairs.
- Documents all sales activity performed in our internal Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and measurement of sales closure results.
- Consistently track and follow up with customers, close sales, and achieve sales targets.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as industry requirements
- Demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to uphold company’s community reputation. Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns
- Other tasks and projects, as needed
