Job descriptionBachelor's Degree (BA / BS) in Finance or Accounting. Minimum 6 months of experience in Microsoft Office. Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve a problem. Ability to communicate professionally through practical verbal and written skills. Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively. Organizational skills and detail-oriented. Ability to work in a team environment. Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to work on US Holidays. Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work H ybrid with our client in Boston, MA . Interested?
Here's what you'd do :
- The Fund Accountant is responsible for specialized accounting support for commingled investment portfolios within the business line.
- Leveraging our fund accounting technology, Fund Accountants will complete one or more key aspects of net asset value execution, including transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, cash, special handling, and break identification and resolution.
- Fund Accountants ensure daily accounting deliveries are timely and accurate.
- Primary contact for derivative valuation inquiries.
- Verify information.
- Escalate problem items.
- Manage daily volume.
- Ensure daily output and maintain department / team standards for quality and timeliness.
- Help to ensure team deadlines or requirements are being met.
- Manage daily production reporting.
- Monitor and assist in the resolution of issues.
- Follow up on open inquiries.
- Interact with other client departments to resolve issues.
- Break down follow-up and resolution.
- Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues and minimize risk and exposure.
- Communicate with internal departments as necessary.
- Contribute to management reporting (clarity, PVCs, past dues, cash breaks, and R and A analysis).
- Understand the big picture of how a specific function impacts the firm.
- Contribute to Division / Firm process improvement activities.
- Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity.
- Manage multiple tasks or projects efficiently despite resource and time constraints.

Pay : $24.00 / hr.
Hours : 40 hours / week.
Length : Temp (6 Months).
