- is looking for a
- Accounting Clerk III
- to support the team in Chesapeake, Virginia. The
- Accounting Clerk III
- will provide general accounting support for our VP of Business Services who oversees a multidisciplinary team, specifically around finance to support both internal and external clients and end users. The
- Accounting Clerk III
- will work daily with the Finance team, Chenega Employees, and our Government Business Partners in various contract support needs.
- Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of general accounting support tasks
- Update financial tracking spreadsheets
- Prepare supporting documentation for monthly invoices
- Prepare for submission voucher corrections
- Prepare and code accounting documents for general ledger postings
- Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years to five years working in an accounting environment.
- Understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software
