Entry level aerospace engineer Jobs in Chicago, IL

AECOM  is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Enginee r to be based in  Chicago IL.

Perform analysis and design of transportation structures such as bridges culverts retaining walls and sign structures under the supervision of experienced engineers.

Use computer programs to model and solve engineering problems.

Creates design calculations sketches plan details and project reports meeting industry standards.

Visit job sites and inspect in-service structures.

Complete work assignments within budget and schedule.

Develop strong organizational technical and communication skills.

Build knowledge of transportation project development and delivery.

Maintain technical learning on the route to obtain professional licenses.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

Proficient with MS Office suite programs Word Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Knowledge of basic ACI AISC and ASCE design codes and specifications.

Previous internship experience

Passed FE exam

Masters degree in structural engineering

Knowledge of AASHTO design specifications and DOT practice
