Job Summary / Basic Function :

About This Role :

The Criminal Justice Program seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities :

• Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students’ grades.
• Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.

Key Competencies :

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.

Physical Requirements :

Able to lift 25 lbs. and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience) :

Applicants should have an earned graduate degree in Criminal Justice or other discipline relevant to teaching area.
