Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Field Scientist to join our growing team in the Chicagoland Area. You will be performing field work, providing environmental testing, construction monitoring oversight, collecting soil and or groundwater samples for laboratory analysis, documenting project work, prepare daily monitoring reports, and project reports.

Our Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences (Geosciences, Industrial Hygiene, industrial engineering, construction) and relevant experience. We are willing to consider an Associate degree with some experience. We are willing to train the right candidate

Qualifications :

OSHA 40-hour Health & Safety and 8-hour Supervisor Certificates will be mandatory.
Must have a Valid Drivers License
Must have reliable transportation
Minimum 6 months of experience in on-site environmental work (investigation, sampling, and remediation)
Candidates with experience in environmental testing, air quality monitoring and field oversight of highway / tollway projects would be strongly considered.
Phase 1, Phase 2 and Remediation experience or willing to train
Asbestos Inspection, Planning, Supervision, Lead paint, and Air quality monitoring are also part of our projects.

Responsibilities :

Collecting and scientifically analyzing soil, air, and water samples to determine the level and cause of environmental contamination.

Developing solutions to control, fix or prevent environmental problems.

Conducting environmental research projects and preparing reports and presentations on their findings.

Advising governmental organizations, businesses, and the public on potential environmental hazards and health risks.

Looking for the right candidates for full-time / part-time employment or for as an independent contractor for projects throughout the Chicagoland area.
