Job Title : Human Resources Coordinator

Job Status: Full-time
Job Purpose: Primary responsibilities include the management of the following functions in the Human Resources department: recruitment of Seasonal, Part time and Full-time teammates, processing, and onboarding of new hires, coordinating and facilitating New Teammate Orientation, file room maintenance, attending off-site job fairs and facilitating the annual Zoo Atlanta job fair, and providing administrative support to the HR team.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing job vacancy paperwork
- Responsible for the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinating new teammates by setting up background checks, drug tests, TB tests and physical assessments when required.
- Onboarding all (full-time, part-time, and seasonal) employees.
- Responsible for coordinating & facilitating New Teammate Orientation
- File room maintenance and compliance auditing.
- HRIS data entry, record maintenance
- Tracking annual paperwork in compliance with regulator requirements
- Responsible for complying with all EEOC/DOL guidelines that apply to recruitment.
- Support HR team with employee relations, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, employee training, compensation administration and performance management.
- Assists in Ad Hoc HR projects.
- Management reserves the right to add other responsibilities, as he/she/they deem necessary as long as they are relevant to the department and/or the organization.
Experience and Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills and communicate effectively.
- Strong oral and writing skills and detailed oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and timely (must have the ability to meet deadlines regularly)
- Must communicate effectively and positively with employees and all levels of management.
- Ability to work with confidential information and to remain objective at all times.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Professional image and the ability to balance the support of the employee and the organization with fairness and consistency.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS knowledge preferred.
Education and/or Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- 6 months minimum of Human Resources exposure
- 1-2 years minimum in administrative setting
