Position Overview
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for executing various HR functions, including compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, HR policy enforcement, recruitment support, and more. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about streamlining HR processes, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring employees receive proper training on company policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Maintain and update employee records and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Administer and track employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO).
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate timekeeping, deductions, and compliance with labor laws.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, implementing best practices to mitigate legal risks.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support performance management initiatives, including conducting evaluations, coaching managers on feedback delivery, and overseeing improvement plans.
- Facilitate training and development programs, such as mandatory compliance training, leadership development, and career growth initiatives.
- Conduct and manage background checks, drug screenings, and employment eligibility verifications in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Promote employee engagement and recognition programs, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to ensure a fair and inclusive workplace.
- Assist with occupational health and safety compliance, maintaining records of workplace incidents and facilitating safety training.
- Provide guidance on leave management, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.
- Support employer branding by staying updated on HR trends and best practices, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Coordinate and provide desk coverage support for office management efforts.
- Provide recruiting assistance as needed.
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
