Job descriptionMinimum Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Aero / Astro, Nuclear, or Structural Engineering Familiarity with structural dynamics and structural analysis preferred Structural design experience preferred Strong written and verbal communications skills, with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances Ability to travel to customer or project sites (light travel required)
Job Description
This position will report to a Principal or designee level staff member. You will be involved in projects that may include :
- Forensic investigations of structural failures
- Qualification and testing of buildings, structures, equipment and systems for a variety of loads
- Design, development and rollout of field and laboratory systems, structures and equipment
- Instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis of equipment and structures
- Advanced analysis of equipment, systems and structures using finite element codes
- Materials engineering and evaluations
- Peer reviews
- Evaluation and repair of existing structures
- Dispute resolution including assistance with expert witness assignments
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
