Position Summary :
The Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is looking to fill a temporary Lab Assistant position where duties will include but are not limited to :
- Maintain teaching and shared lab equipment used for experiments in cell culture, microbiology and molecular biology
- Generally assist the BME Laboratory Manager as needed
- Organize and prepare materials and reagents for teaching laboratories
- Prepare and teach student laboratories related to mammalian cell culture
- Prepare and teach student laboratories related to microbiology and molecular biology
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Demonstrated possession of competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :
Experience in basic bacterial and mammalian cell culture
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :
BS in biology or related field
