Job Description
Stonefield Engineering and Design is currently recruiting a Landscape Designer to join the Site Design Team. This is a dynamic position that will offer the opportunity for diverse interaction and rapid growth. The right candidate will bring a strong technical background, interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire for continued growth and learning. As Stonefield is a multi-disciplinary firm, interest in cross disciplinary work within the field of civil engineering and consulting is encouraged. Job responsibilities will include design of site layout, grading, landscaping, and lighting. The position will also include project management responsibilities, zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, site plan drafting, rendering of photorealistic images, environmental impact assessment, and preparation of project reports.
Desired Skills & Experience
While there are numerous skills that will assist a new employee - such as knowledge in AutoCAD, grading and drainage design abilities, field experience, and technical writing - we are also intrigued by someone who seeks to overcome challenges and to be an innovator within the industry. The following minimum requirements are expected of candidates :
- 0 - 2 years professional experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite programs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and natural curiosity
Experience with site and grading design, zoning and site plan permitting process, plant identification, Civil 3D, and / or technical writing are a plus.
