Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI(Hybrid). You will lead manufacturing process planning and tool implementation for new vehicle launches.

Rate Range : $34 / hour to $36 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Engineer job responsibilities include :

Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for assigned subsystems (Electrical, Powertrain, Suspension, Exterior, Interior).

Collaborate with Product Development teams to optimize tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements.

Use virtual tools to evaluate design feasibility for high-volume assembly operations and maintain updated process sheets and cycle line layouts.

Lead tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at assembly sites, including vendor coordination and tooling buy-offs.

Identify, resolve, and close feasibility issues related to product and tooling during new model launches.

Develop lessons learned and implement preventive actions for future programs while supporting SQDCPMEI initiatives.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

Minimum 2 years in automotive manufacturing engineering and assembly tooling processes.

Strong project management skills with experience in tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning.

Proficiency in virtual tools and 3D CAD review (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA) and understanding of PFMEA principles.

Pay Details : $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
