AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join our growing Transportation team of design professionals in our Raleigh, NC office .
This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects, develop your career, and seek advancement as a Transportation Engineer. In addition to supporting projects in their assigned office, the candidate may be involved with other AMT offices and project opportunities.
We provide an Excellent Work / Life Balance and an opportunity to work a Hybrid (Combination of Office and Remote) schedule..
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of projects which may involve the collection of data, assessing existing conditions, and alternative evaluation -analysis for engineering reports developed for NCDOT as well as local Municipalities
- Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, perform template drops and develop a 3D model of roadways, cut cross-sections, calculate super-elevation, produce transportation infrastructure plans, and calculate quantities for highway projects
- Ability to assist other AMT offices with highway design
- Development of Work Zone Traffic Control Plans (WZTC), Signing, and Pavement Marking Plans
