Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will work from blueprints to assemble large corrugated box machines using standard hand tools. Ideal candidates will have mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical backgrounds.

SHIFT : 5a-3:30p (Mon-Thurs)

Responsibilities

• Assemble corrugated box machines of various sizes using standard hand tools such as screwdrivers, sockets, and wrenches.

• Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.

• Perform heavy lifting, crawl under machines, and work on ladders as required.

• Identify and differentiate between metric and standard bolts during assembly.

• Ensure mechanical assembly meets quality standards and project requirements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical assembly and use of hand tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work in confined spaces.

• Experience with assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in hydraulics is desired.

• Ability to work long shifts and be on your feet for extended periods.

• Availability for overtime work as needed.

• Possession of personal tools as listed.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing and production shop operating on 4x10 hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with typically mandatory overtime on Friday and occasionally Saturday. Contractors usually work close to 50 hours a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
