ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY : Currently searching for two Part-Time Graduate Student Assistants and two Part-Time undergraduate students to work on the National Science Foundation Project about thermal mechanical fatigue of semiconductor / metal interfaces, under the supervision of Dr. Yong Gan, Principal Investigator. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety) :
The part-time student assistant will participate in research tasks including test facility set-up, thermal- mechanical cycling tests, data analysis and report / research paper writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must be Cal Poly Students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
- Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills
- Responsible and dependable
- Ability to work well with various people including high school and community college students
- Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and / or MATLAB
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS :
ABOUT US : As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality1500 management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
