About Our Client :
Addison Group is partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking a Call Center Representative to join their team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role supports patient billing inquiries and requires a strong customer service background within a healthcare or medical billing environment.
Job Description :
The Call Center Representative will handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from patients regarding billing questions, insurance verification, and payment assistance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a healthcare call center environment and the ability to provide professional, efficient, and empathetic customer support.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage a high daily call volume (100200+ calls per day) addressing patient billing and account inquiries.
Deliver consistent and professional customer service following established scripts and compliance guidelines.
Process insurance verifications, authorizations, and payment information.
Navigate and update patient accounts within Athena EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
Explain patient statements, balances, and payment options clearly and accurately.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Support various insurance workflows involving major payers such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicaid.
Qualifications :
1+ year of healthcare call center or billing experience required.
Experience using Athena EMR required.
Proven ability to manage high call volumes efficiently.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) candidates highly preferred.
Professional and confident demeanor; must be able to engage patients effectively.
Availability to work onsite 3 days per week in Phoenix, AZ.
Additional Details :
Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
Assignment Type : 6-month contract with possible extension
Work Environment : Collaborative, close-knit RCM team
Dress Code : Business casual
