Accepts training as needed Protects privacy rights of patients and confidentiality of records Completes all documentation in an accurate and legible manner Complies with hospice policies and procedures, laws and regulations and standards of practice Performs other tasks as may be assigned

Full time HOSPICE Biller / Collector in our Reseda office
Must have hospice billing and collections experience.
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm - Hourly rate depends on experience, range is $22-27 / hr
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Medical Biller is responsible for the preparation of billing documents for private insurance, Medicare / Medicaid and private pay sources and maintenance of fiscal or related records.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- One year medical clerical experience including coding / medical billing and / or have completed a medical assistant course that includes requirements for medical claims
- Knowledgeable about coding systems, billing requirements, specialized medical terminology, computers and billing software. Ability to maintain financial records and to prepare reports. Have effective writing and communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
