The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for maintaining all medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as established Standards of Care and Facility policies and procedures to ensure that a complete medical record program is maintained. They collect and assemble patient records, while ensuring that patient records are accurately processed from admission to discharge.
Qualifications :
- Must have at minimum a High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of HIM or medical records experience preferred
- Must be able to handle a variety of projects / tasks simultaneously
- Must have strong written and verbal skills
- Must have reliable source of transportation
We prefer candidates with experience in medical records, or a background in skilled nursing, but will train the right candidate
