The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist will manage the RGHS Learning Management System (LMS). Responsible for collaborating system-wide with subject matter experts to create e-learning courses using e-learning tools, software, and systems. The Learning Management System Specialist will use content provided by subject matter experts and instructional designers to upload, retire, run reports and assign to students. Serves as a primary contact to leaders for LMS education and support. Excellent organizational skills, with high attention to detail is essential. This role requires strong customer service skills, teamwork, oral and written communication skills, effective questioning, listening, and analytical skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages LMS access and provides LMS guidance and support to team members and leaders; including security, access, permission inquiries, and reporting instructions.
Maintains accurate team member and course data in the LMS system on a weekly basis.
Authors and creates instructional materials for team members and leaders for technical LMS processes; including access, site navigation, administrator education and reporting.
Conducts small group and 1 : 1 instructional support and education for LMS .
Prioritizes e-learning requests to meet deadlines for content delivery, providing high quality customer service and ongoing communication.
Supports testing / QA of LMS eLearning courses.
Collaborates with subject matter experts throughout the system to create and assemble e-learning courses using authoring tools, audio, and video.
Ensures that the layout of content is accessible and logical; recommends improvements as needed.
Manages, updates, and creates content of department intranet pages.
Assists with management of purchased on-line courses, including registration and appropriate reporting.
Supports ongoing needs of the department.
Serves as department’s technical expert.
Attends internal and external meetings, including quarterly attendance at state-wide LMS user group.
Assists in coordination, registration, and support of general orientation, on-boarding, and all other department-sponsored training / activities.
Participates in training and continuous learning opportunities to increase knowledge and keep skills current with the latest technology.
Other duties in support of department and training / learning needs of RGHS.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of LMS experience, preferably in a healthcare system.
Minimum 2 years experience creating e-learning courses and instructional materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Education or related field preferred.
Strong proficiency with technical content and e-learning course creation tools, including : Image / video editing software, Audio / video streaming software, MS Office Suite.
Experience working with leaders and team members across various disciplines.
Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology strongly preferred.

60,500.00 - $70,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
