Responsibilities: • Prepare and file probate petitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements • Coordinate and manage the collection and distribution of estate assets, maintaining clear communication with all parties involved • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and discovery, to support attorneys in litigation processes • Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries to foster trust and satisfaction • Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and timelines, ensuring efficient progression of cases • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide insights into relevant legal precedents and statutes Qualifications: • An ABA-approved paralegal certification • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Clio), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing • Demonstrates close attention to detail • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities • Ability to organize and prioritize work • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment • Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team • Ability to synthesize information to prioritize and organize tasks • Ability to work in the office five days per week • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism • Flexibility and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks extending beyond routine expectations • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to work well with others, including clients • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials; relevant work experience a plus • Ability to take ownership of discrete projects and be able to work without direct supervision • Available to work overtime • Experience working in estate, probate, and/or litigation is preferred • Typing speed of 65wpm+ Compensation: $47,840 - $70,000 yearly
