The Payroll Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records, processing payroll data, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Duties

• Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure proper posting to the general ledger.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation to verify payroll-related accounts.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or ADPfor payroll processing and reporting.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or questions about deductions.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked and leave taken by employees.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll tax filings and compliance documentation.
