An entry-level Behavioral Health Agency is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist. Please see qualifications and responsibilites.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must have knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance
• Previous experience with Behavioral Health Claims preferred
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of medical billing / collection practices, posting, claim submission, managing account payments
• Knowledge of basic medical coding
• Skills in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines / regulations
• Certified Professional Biller training and / or certification preferred
• 1-2 years of medical billing experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and billing software. Will be required to learn the agency's billing software.
