As an Environmental Health Specialist I, II, III, or IV for Lincoln, Taliaferro, and Wilkes County, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Minimum Qualifications
EHS I : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university which included the completion of 27 semester hours (or 40 quarter hours) in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics, etc.).
EHS II : With above qualifications must have one year of full-time professional level environmental health experience equivalent to an Environmental Health Specialist I must have attended and completed the Georgia Environmental Health Specialist Training.
EHS III : With above qualifications must have one year of full-time professional level environmental health experience equivalent to an Environmental Health Specialist II, must have attended and completed the Georgia Environmental Health Specialist Training.
EHS IV : With above qualifications must have one year of full-time professional level environmental health experience equivalent to an Environmental Health Specialist III, must have attended and completed the Georgia Environmental Health Specialist Training.
Preferred Qualifications :
Environmental Health Specialist experience in Public Health.
Food Service Standardization and ServSafe Certification.
examination for environmental health specialists or
sanitarians(such as the examination given by the National
Environmental Health Association or the professional
examination service).
