SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
Broadbent & Associates, Inc., a leading environmental consulting firm, is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Senior Environmental Engineer to support our expanding operations and based in our new Phoenix office. Broadbent is a multi-disciplined consulting firm providing a broad suite of environmental and engineering services to oil companies, mining operations, agricultural companies, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers. Our experienced and highly qualified staff of engineers, geologists, environmental assessors, scientists, archeologists, and industrial hygienists brings a responsive team-oriented approach to project management.

Current Opportunity :
Broadbent is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer with eight-plus years of experience. The successful candidate will design water and wastewater systems for small commercial and municipal systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop grading, spill prevention and control plans, storm water pollution prevention, chemical accident prevention programs, fire protection, environmental assessments, water rights surveying and mining plans.
Essential Qualities, Duties, and Responsibilities :
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Eight or more years of experience in environmental consulting or related industry
- Previous commercial / industry experience
- Ability to liaise and coordinate with new and existing clients, develop proposals for new work, and develop client relationships to enhance the value that Broadbent brings to its clients
- Advanced project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations
- High proficiency in technical writing and computer literacy
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with regulatory entities, clients, and Broadbent leadership. Must possess the leadership and management acumen to effectively manage resources to accomplish the assigned tasks, and to identify where skill and / or capacity gaps exist and communicate them to senior leadership when necessary to keep projects moving forward. Acts as client liaison for matters related to project performance and compliance with regulator direction.
- Preparation and review of permit language, work plans, reports, design drawings, shop drawings, and equipment submittals
- Quickly learn new jurisdiction regulation schemes and apply to applicable projects.
- Ensure compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act

Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time position with typical workdays from Monday to Friday, with occasional travel and weekend work. The position can be based in Phoenix supporting both local and regional projects.
