The Environmental Biogeochemistry Modeling Group at Tulane University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team. The successful candidate will lead research on the development and application of Earth System models to investigate the transport, transformation, and fate of emerging and legacy contaminants, including mercury, plastics, PFAS and antibiotics.
Qualifications :
- PhD in a relevant field, such as atmospheric science, ocean science, biogeochemistry, climate science, or geological sciences
- Research experience in Earth System modeling wit applications to environmental contaminants
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in modeling pollutants such as mercury, plastics, PFAS, or antibiotics is highly desireable
- Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, Fortran) and familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC)
