Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Nortek Data Center Cooling builds the systems that keep modern data centers running from liquid cooling to large-scale air solutions. Our work supports some of the world's most demanding AI and hyperscale environments, and we solve those challenges with engineering depth and practical execution.
We keep things simple here. We communicate early, stay close to the details, and follow through. When issues come up, we address them directly, not with layers of process. Customers count on us because we do what we say and we keep projects moving.
Our culture is hands-on and collaborative. People take ownership, move quickly, and help each other. If you like working with teammates who are straightforward and accountable, you'll feel at home.
With the backing of Madison Air, we have the scale, stability, and manufacturing footprint to support complex, high-growth programs.

- Serve as the primary EHS leader for the campus, providing visible leadership and coaching across all four buildings.
- Apply 80/20 (Pareto) principles to focus resources and actions on the highest-risk, highest-impact hazards and opportunities.
- Partner with site leadership to support safe growth, new equipment installs, facility expansions, and process changes.
- Safety Culture & Engagement
- Build and sustain a strong safety culture emphasizing prevention, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Engage employees and leaders at all levels through behavior-based safety, near-miss reporting, and frontline participation.

- Industrial Safety Management
- Lead programs covering machine guarding, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, confined space, and contractor safety.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safe-design reviews for new and modified processes.
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions address systemic risk drivers.
- Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations covering air, water, waste, and hazardous materials.
- Manage permitting, reporting, inspections, and waste management activities.
- Identify pragmatic environmental improvements that align compliance, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
- Training, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and deliver effective EHS training for employees, supervisors, and leaders.
- Use data and trends to drive prioritization, improvement actions, and leadership reporting.
- Prepare for and support regulatory, internal, and customer audits.
- Standardize scalable EHS processes suitable for a rapidly growing manufacturing campus.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 710+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success building EHS programs and safety culture in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, applying risk-based and 80/20 thinking to drive meaningful results.
