We are currently seeking an Environmental Remediation Specialist to support a wide variety of environmental projects. The preferred candidates will have field experience working at Superfund and other contaminated sites, running complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for environmental characterization and remediation projects. The preferred candidate will have experience with evaluating remedial alternatives and engineering design of remedial approaches for contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater. The preferred candidate will perform well in a task leader / task manager role and have a desire to advance their career as a Project Technical Lead.

• Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree. 10 years of related experience. Domestic and / or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Preferred Qualifications :

10 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree in Science, Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

Professional engineering (PE) license Or Professional scientist registration / certification OR Master's degree in Science or related discipline.

Working knowledge cleanup regulations and CERCLA

HAZWOPER 40-hour certification

Previous task lead or project manager experience.

Strong knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
