Job descriptionOn-site monitoring, documentation, and managing contaminated soil removal for IDOT projects. Assist in surveys and measurement of data. Assist Environmental Professionals and Project Managers with complex tasks. Calibrate, operate, and maintain field monitoring equipment Transport material samples or documents to laboratory for testing. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. Tabulate and prepare data for written reports. Assist with office administrative duties, such as filing and document control. 20 / hr - $35 / hr, depending on experience Vacation pay Holiday pay Health insurance Company laptop Company-paid YMCA membership Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Some experience preferred, but not required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work well with clients and co-workers. Good computer (Microsoft Office) and data entry skills. Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history and a reliable automobile. Must be comfortable with a constantly changing work environment. Must be flexible with schedule. Occasionally irregular hours / weekends may be required. Occasional local travel may be required, including overnight stays
