Role Description :

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team for a significant rail tunnel project in the New York / New Jersey area. In this role, you will provide detailed review of all submittals, design documents, and proposed design changes from a regulatory compliance (National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Federal, State, and local permits) and environmental (air, noise, water, contaminated, hazardous materials, amongst others) standpoint.

Role Accountabilities :

• Provide regulatory compliance review of Federal, State, and Local permits
• Review and provide guidance on RFQ / RFP to ensure all requirements from the permits and the FEIS / ROD are incorporated accurately.
• Determine if there are permit / environmental impacts associated with work elements
• Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications and develop technical memorandums
• Attend weekly meetings with the team, as well as workshops as needed, to provide status updates and answer any regulatory compliance / environmental questions
• Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) to ensure all requirements from the permits and the FEIS / ROD are incorporated accurately.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $167,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
