Job description

The Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join our Infectious Disease Epidemiology team as a Summer 2025 Intern. This 11-week internship starting on 02 June 2025 will primarily support the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine development program, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world epidemiologic research, vaccine development, and decision-making processes.

Here’s What You’ll Do :

Gain exposure to the role of Epidemiology in vaccine development, supporting clinical trial phases and post-market research.

Lead and execute epidemiologic analyses on CMV and related health outcomes, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results

Communicate findings effectively through data visualization, reports, and presentations to cross-functional teams and leadership

Engage with cross-functional teams, including Real-World Evidence Analytics, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Clinical Development.

Participate in biweekly discussions on evidence generation strategy and the value proposition of CMV vaccine.

Here’s What You’ll Need :

Currently enrolled in a PhD, MPH, or MS program in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Global Health, or a pharmaceutical-related field (exceptional BA / BS students may be considered).

Strong background or interest in epidemiology and biostatistics.

Minimum GPA of 3.4.

Interest in vaccine development, pharmacoepidemiologic methods, and data-driven decision-making.

Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative yet independent work ethic.

Technical skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAS or R is a plus but not required.

Personal attributes : Strong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, team-oriented mindset, adaptability under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
