The GSE / Diesel Mechanic will perform operational duties for the GSE shop to ensure the safe and efficient repairs and rebuilding of service equipment. The position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and PMI on ground support equipment, to include fuel trucks, deicing trucks, tugs, pickup trucks, passenger vehicles, and non-automotive rolling stock equipment such as tow bars, aircraft jacks, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the maintenance of the vehicles functional condition by inspecting, trouble shooting, and repairing both gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ensures that all records relating to the maintenance of equipment are completed and maintained as required by regulations.
• Coordinates the response to all repair calls on the operational facilities.
• Assists in the investigation of all damage to service equipment.
• Coordinates and documents all monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks of the equipment.
• Coordinates and oversees the timely completion of all shop paperwork.
• Coordinates necessary parts availability through the parts department.
• Coordinates timely reporting of complete and in process repairs to the GSE Manager.
• Assists the GSE Manager with a variety of tasks and special projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and timely attendance as set forth by company guidelines.
