Job descriptionPrior related experience and / or training in a fabrication or machine shop environment. Ability to operate tools and equipment applicable to position. Working knowledge of basic hand tools. Certification and ability to operate Small Forklift. Strong organizational skills. Ability to interact and communicate well with others in a fast-paced environment. Obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program. Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time. Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping and occasional climbing on to equipment and / or trailers. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment, or tools. Occasional overtime may be required to ensure project deadlines are met.
Small Equipment Operator (Fab Shop-Catoosa, OK)
The Small Equipment Operator is primarily responsible for the operation of a small forklift; also responsible for moving materials to and from warehouse storage; and packing materials for shipping.
Essential Functions
- Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
- Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
- Understands how to safely pack items in crates for outgoing shipments.
- Understands how to safely load / unload truckloads of incoming / outgoing materials.
- Must be able to safely band materials for shipments on truck.
- Acts as helper / spotter for the Shuttle Operator.
- Experience and knowledge operating a Small Forklift.
- Paperwork is highly accurate with minimal errors.
- Follows prescribed safety standards and regulations.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
