We have a current opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Airfield Lighting projects at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. This project will start March 2025 and run through August 2025.

Requirements

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment

Experience with backhoes, excavator, skid steer, water truck, and wheel loaders

CAT 336, 349

Must have experience in the Water, Sewer, Storm Drain or underground utility field

General knowledge of confined space entry, construction, complex pumping systems, electrical

Competent and knowledgeable relating to OSHA excavation requirements

Knowledge of construction stakes and grades

Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log

Experience with deep excavations preferred (i.e. 15ft +)

Must be eligible for airport badging process

Salary Range : 20-24 / hr

Note : This is a Private Base Rate. This position is Prevailing Wage / Davis Bacon Eligible depending on project assignment. Additional fringe benefits may per project designated wage determination.
