    Your role.

    Your work will include, but not be limited to :

    • Review of client estate planning documents
    • Preparation of client gift tax returns
    • Coordination of estate planning illustrations and deliverables documenting a client's estate plan and calculation of estate tax
    • Creation of and presentations internally and externally on estate tax related topics
    • Assist with other various client projects, including advanced estate planning for clients with the use of GRATs, IDITs, LLCs, etc.
    • Research specific technical issues relating to estate, gift, or trust income taxation
    • At the Manager level :
    • Work with Family Legacy team to proactively manage the tax planning process with the client to optimize the wealth management goals of the client / family
    • Manage and review gift tax returns for clients
    • Managing of estate planning illustrations and deliverables
    • Research and consult on various estate and gift tax matters, utilize tax-related software to prepare estate tax projections for advance estate tax strategies, and research tax matters
    • The qualifications.

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
    • 3+ years of recent estate planning experience in public accounting or equivalent experience
    • CPA or JD preferred
    • Moderate understanding of fiduciary and estate tax planning and compliance
    • Experience with high net worth individuals, S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and private foundations is required with the emphasis on high net worth individuals
    • This position may be filled as a Senior Advisor or Manager depending on applicable experience and qualifications

      This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

      Salary

      Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

      Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

      Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

      Colorado monthly base range is as follows :

      7,083.34 to $10,791.67

      We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
