POSITION SUMMARY
As the President of Property Management, you are responsible for the overall strategic direction, operation, and profitability of Collective. As a key executive you are accountable for strategies and leading teams toward higher levels of operational excellence, growth, profitability, and team member development. Also, as a leader you will align with our Collective culture and lead from and toward our culture, values, and mission as we strive to have greater levels of impact and contribution toward all we serve (owners, team members and residents).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Set goals and objectives for overall financial property performance.
Oversight of compliance, budgeting, marketing, and building high preforming teams
Communicate with the leadership team regarding the operation of Collective communities.
Review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures.
Closely review property reporting (e.g. weekly, monthly) for accuracy, timeliness, and trends, and take proactive action as necessary.
Establish strategic personnel and operation goals and monitor performance to ensure goals are met.
Create and manage the corporate budget for Collective.
Collaborates with the Director of Asset Management to provide property performance reports and develop corrective action plans for under-performing properties.
Ensure that Collective is in compliance with laws and established regulations.
Creates and maintains positive relationships with all external partners, government officials and professional organizations related to the Property and Housing industry.
Ensure property strategic goals are successfully implemented, including capital plans and other asset management driven requirements.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :
5 or more years of management experience
Multi-family real estate : 3-5 years (preferred)
Strong working knowledge of AppFolio and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience in multi-family housing with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple properties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Travel is required, generally on a quarterly basis travel may be outside of Fargo, ND
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong understanding of business financials
Strong leadership background with experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position requires regular office hours to be maintained along with availability for emergency situations outside of regular office hours.
Travel : 20% Required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
