Senior Creative Director
FranklinCovey is seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Creative Director to lead the development of breakthrough creative that amplifies our brand and drives business results. This role will oversee a wide range of creative, content, community, and communications initiatives serving as both a strategic leader and a roll-up-your-sleeves creator. The ideal candidate is a customer-obsessed, design-thinking leader with deep expertise in storytelling, visual identity, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will guide and inspire a high-performing team in producing compelling content across traditional, digital, video, and social platforms, including web, email, sales collateral, presentations, and event materials. As we build a scalable internal creative agency, you'll implement proven systems and tools, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure our creative output is not only beautiful, but purposeful, measurable, and aligned with FranklinCovey's mission to enable greatness in people and organizations everywhere from the classroom to the boardroom.
A Lot About You
You get people. You have a unique blend of skills in creating community, developing relationships, and driving strategy and execution through positive and productive partnerships. You are a customer-obsessed, people-focused, and design-thinking leader who has delivered growth through storytelling and creativity. You have demonstrated success working with creative, content, marketing, sales, product, and partnership teams.
You get creative. You are a seasoned creative with a background specializing in creating provocative, original concepts, content, and media against a strategy. You have a deep understanding of storytelling craft with movement and sound as your canvas. You lead others with a high taste level, providing clear creative direction in a way that provides clarity and inspiration to your team.
You get collaboration. It is critical that our creative leads can come up with breakthrough ideas of their own but are as comfortable helping teammates break through and partnering with agencies to elevate their work. You will be called on to work on your own at times and collaborate at others. You will balance working with both internal and external teams. You must be able to switch gears between the two. You will also be responsible for presenting ideas in meetings and managing feedback. Relationships with our stakeholders are critical. You will sometimes be the ranking creative in the room and will have to balance defending the work with truly listening in an environment that's new to creative. You will therefore also need to be a teacher and consultant to the executive team.
Most of all, you have to love to create, with everything that entails : Creative, content, community, comms, creating tribes. Concepting, iterating, reformulating, taking risks. Designing, crafting, presenting. Revising, recombining, fine-tuning. You have to love it all, because this team thrives on creative energy and carries the awesome opportunity to excite and inspire our employees and exemplify what great looks like.
