We are looking for a talented and driven Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This role is ideal for a chef with strong leadership ability, a passion for high-quality ingredients, and the ability to execute consistently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
The Executive Sous Chef will play a critical role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining culinary standards, and supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. We are seeking someone who leads by example, thrives under pressure, and takes pride in building a strong and disciplined kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Lead, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficiency, accountability, and teamwork
- Maintain consistent food quality, plating standards, and recipe execution
- Manage prep production and kitchen organization to ensure smooth service
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and food cost management
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate service timing and communication between stations during high-volume service
- Train and develop cooks to improve skill level and maintain kitchen standards
- Contribute to menu development, specials, and continuous improvement of the kitchen program
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience
- Previous leadership experience in a sous chef or senior line position preferred
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to lead a team during high-volume service
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain composure and decision-making under pressure
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and culinary excellence
