Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY : The Property Service Technician helps assist Facilities department to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain Facilities systems, circuits, and equipment. Ability to perform basic repairs such as paint, drywall, carpentry repair, equipment assembly and landscaping. They perform custodian duties and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. This is an experienced-level position with no direct reports that reports to the Facilities Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain the appearance and safe working conditions of the facility and surrounding areas.
- Utilize tools and materials used in Facilities Maintenance.
- Move furniture within the facility.
- Painting throughout the facility. Walls, Floors, signs, etc.
- Repairs to the facility.
- Landscaping and snow / ice removal
- Helps Maintain locks and update locks for the facility.
- Assists with stripping and waxing floors and other tasks as needed.
- Reports needed maintenance repairs to the Supervisor.
- Ensures facility equipment and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
- Assumes responsibility for elated duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office, restroom, kitchen and warehouse environments which require the use of cleaning supplies and hand tools. The outdoor settings include parking lots and driveways. Occasionally subject to varying inside and / or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees). The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

Medium work; exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
