Job Description :
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for high-level maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of multiple clinic facilities located across the Middle Tennessee area. They will ensure corrective, proactive, and preventative facility maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and any business automation systems. The Facilities Engineer will aid in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing facility issues to include, but not limited to : Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Schedule, prioritize and complete tickets and work orders as necessary.
- Oversee high-level maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems for tenant facilities with up to 730,000 plus square feet by end of year 2026 and resolve facility-related issues efficiently to minimize disruptions to patient care.
- Coordinate with Facility Ops Manager for any facility upgrades, repairs, and renovations, including any required third-party vendor service repairs.
- Ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions are being provided by any contracted third-party vendor repairs.
- Work with Facility Ops Manager to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce repair cost.
- Assist Facility Ops Manager and Director of Properties and Facilities in capital improvement projects, including mechanical equipment upgrades.
- Respond to and immediately coordinate plans of corrective action to rectify all maintenance related emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity.
- Report property damage, equipment malfunctions and unusual activities as appropriate.
- Identify root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical designs.
- Prepare justification documentation and department Purchase Orders.
- Utilize tools, materials, and equipment related to assigned area of responsibility and perform repairs.
- Identify and fix potential safety hazards to avoid injury in multiple facilities.
- Work and maintain positive relationships with contracted vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals and documents.
- Be able to work independently and in teams.
- May be required to respond to outside normal business hour emergent task.
