Job Summary

This individual is responsible for custodial duties, repairs, and maintenance services of the Experience and Production area of the facility. This individual reports to the General Manager and the Regional Facilities Manager.

Essential Functions :

Carries out tasks / jobs recorded on Maintenance Tracker and updates progress Performs minor plumbing maintenance and repairs, minor electrical maintenance and repairs, as well as painting, carpentry, plastering, masonry work, and tiling.

Oversees the overnight porter team and outside cleaning services.

Creates Maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to the team.

Assists Project Coordinator and / or architect with tasks assigned for new installations in the experience.

Research repair costs options and submit for approval to GM & RFM.

Participates in weekly leadership meetings.

Performs checks and testing of facilities equipment and replace or repair parts as required.

Assists in checking for safety and environmental hazards.

Sweeping, mopping, dusting, buffing, polishing, and the shoveling / removal of snow during the winter months.

Washes windows as required or on a regular scheduled basis.

Compile and remove all forms of trash.

Transport supplies and equipment.

Checks and replaces light bulbs, as required, and on a regular basis.

Assists in the upkeep and working order of experience and production equipment.

Maintains the workshop, tools and machinery in good working condition and uses all carefully and as instructed.

Additional duties as assigned.

Physical and Motion requirements

Extensive walking, reaching, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and squatting.

The person will operate equipment such as all forms of power tools.

Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, gases, chemical substances and electrical current.

Qualifications :

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage others, develop and mentor team members, and provide effective decision support through information.

Ability to work on the overnight shift alone or with other employees.

Mechanical aptitude and certification acquired through a vocational / trade school, or a minimum of three years' experience in the field of general repairs, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs.

Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions in the English language.

Team player.

Flexibility, ability to work various hours or shifts without advance notice, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.

Maintain a good attendance record.
