Description :

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our Columbia, MO team. The Facilities Technician is a critical contributor to manufacturing operations, responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, resolving production issues, and executing preventative maintenance programs. This role involves hands-on technical expertise across diverse manufacturing processes, collaboration with subcontractors and vendors, and active participation in efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach to maintenance challenges, and familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting. This position supports the smooth operation of production, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime of equipment.

  • Provide technical expertise across manufacturing processes, including machining, brazing, welding, and more.
  • Lead and implement small and large-scale process improvements in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on innovative projects and capacity outsourcing.
  • Troubleshoot product issues, working closely with engineering to develop and implement solutions.
  • Develop and formalize a preventative maintenance program for ThermAvant’s equipment.
  • Manage subcontractor projects for capital expenditures, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate equipment investments (new vs. used) based on ROI analysis.
  • Support engineering teams with technical troubleshooting and alternative solution development.
  • Contribute to ERP deployment, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and work order management.
  • Utilize "should costing" methodologies to guide capital equipment purchases.
  • Oversee equipment installations and drive continuous improvement in production operations.
  • Lead projects focused on efficiency improvements, lean layouts, and enhanced manufacturing workflows.

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing processes, including hands-on technical expertise.

  • Ability to manage and collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and innovation.
