The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of facility operations, ensuring safe, efficient and well-maintained professional working environments. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage staff, coordinate maintenance activities, and implement strategic initiatives.
Required Skills :
- Leadership and Management : Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide clear direction.
- Organizational Skills : Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving : The ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and creatively.
- Technical Skills : Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security / access control, etc.), maintenance practices, and landscaping methods.
- Communication Skills : Effective written and verbal communication to interact with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Financial Management : Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Adaptability : Ability to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected challenges.
- Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards.
- Decision-Making : Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Negotiation Skills : Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and contractors.
- Flexibility : Available to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends along with the ability to travel out-of-town on short notice when needed.
II.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Compensation : $90,000- $115,000 annually
