We are looking for the next Retail super star to join the Tandy Leather team. Are you the next Plains Zone Manager? The Zone Manager will be directly responsible for approximately 12-15 Tandy Leather retail stores.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead, adapt, innovate and adjust to the changing retail market, have a practical focus on retail sales, margin and expense management, and passion for the Tandy brand, and be part of our vision for the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures zone strategies are performed in a manner consistent with the brand standards
  • Drives business results by analyzing business trends, maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses, and improving metrics through the execution of Tandy Leather training programs, sales leadership, and continuous coaching.
  • Plans, delegates and follows up on expected tasks, assignments, and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met
  • Evaluates and reacts to performance issues fairly, timely, and consistently in accordance with our expected practices
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, developing, coaching, motivating, and retaining talent at the store level
  • Understands P&L, financial reporting, retail operations and can identify data trends, make business recommendations or change course as needed to drive sales and operational success
  • Manages and monitors labor costs appropriately to deliver the expected level of guest service and maximize sales potential
  • Support company initiatives to achieve company strategy and to deliver a high-performance, customer-centric culture
  • Manage and resolve customer escalations.
  • Partner with other zone managers and other internal resources (Product Management, Marketing, HR, Finance) to lead and manage needs of the zone
  • Creates and reinforces a proactive guest-centric selling culture that focuses on building a competent and confident team, in order to build a loyal customer following through clear and positive communication
  • Utilizes and delivers our visual brand standards to present our unique product mix offering
  • Creates an inspirational and motivating work environment that reflects the integrity of the brand.
  • Develops customer relationships through interaction and feedback.
  • Builds the Tandy Leather brand by consistently executing the brand standards and retail experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership Experience
  • 5 - 8 years combined experience managing a single store or multi-unit retail operation
  • 3-5 years oversight of a P&L for a store or area / district
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to all stores within the zone
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
