Job Description

San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Student Worker, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and / or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year.

The duties of a Student Worker may include clerical, manual, or analytical tasks but not limited to :

• Administrative Support :

Filing, copying, scanning documents.

Assisting students, faculty, and visitors.

Assisting with campus events and activities.

Basic troubleshooting

Helping staff with research projects.

Assisting with special projects assigned by department.

Other tasks assigned by department on a as-needed basis.

Duties can vary by department needs. This position is a temporary hourly position and the assignment may end at any time.

Environment : Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.

Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Employment Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

Submit to and successfully pass DOJ live scan / fingerprinting. Cost of live-scan services to be borne by candidate.

This position is not eligible for full-time benefits.
