Middle School Science Teacher

Job Summary :

The Middle School Science Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging and comprehensive science curriculum for students in grades 5-8. This includes creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall science program. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and creative educator with a strong understanding of science concepts and a passion for working with middle school students.

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate science curriculum aligned with state standards and the school’s mission.

Create and deliver effective lessons that incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, experiments, and technology integration.

Assess student learning through various methods, such as tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.

Provide individualized support to students as needed, addressing their diverse learning styles and needs.

Manage the science classroom effectively, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience teaching middle school science preferred.

Strong knowledge of science concepts, including life science, physical science, and earth science.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans.

Experience with various teaching methods and technology integration.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Passion for working with middle school students and fostering their love of science.
