This role is integral to our Medical-Surgical unit, where you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse patient population, aiding in their rehabilitation and recovery journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PT to make a significant impact on patient well-being in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for individuals requiring physical therapy services. Develop and modify individualized treatment programs, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training. Educate patients and their families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies. Document patient progress, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in electronic health records. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred). Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a Medical-Surgical or acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in physical assessment and diagnostic techniques relevant to a Medical-Surgical patient population. Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and clinical situations, demonstrating flexibility and resilience. Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
